MATCHA CRISPY TREATS

Makes 16 squares

Ingredients

☁️ 2 tablespoons hot water

☁️ 2 teaspoons culinary-grade matcha

☁️ 10-ounce bag Dandies Mini Marshmallows, divided

☁️ 2 tablespoons vegan butter

☁️ 4 cups rice cereal

☁️ Optional: 1/4 cup vegan white chocolate, for drizzling⁠


Instructions

In a small bowl, whisk hot water and matcha together until combined with no clumps, and set aside. Measure 1/2 cup of marshmallows and set them aside, as well. In a large, microwave-safe bowl, place the rest of the Mini Dandies, vegan butter, and matcha mixture. Microwave in 45-second intervals, stirring at the end of each one, until the marshmallows become very fluffy and cloud-like.

Add the rice cereal and 1/2 cup of Dandies, then fold everything together until all cereal crisps are covered in matcha marshmallow mixture. Transfer to an 8x8-inch baking dish and allow to cool for 30 minutes or more before cutting. If you’d like the white chocolate drizzle, place chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 45 seconds, or until getting soft. Stir mixture gently until all chips have melted, then use a spoon to drizzle the chocolate over the crispy treats before cooling and cutting.⁠
