S'mores Pop Tarts

Pop Tart Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 Tbsp molasses
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 stick of Earth Balance, chopped into cubes
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 1/2 cup Enjoy Life Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup Dandies Mini Marshmallows

Chocolate Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp non dairy milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Spiced pastry filled with chocolate and all natural Dandies Mini Marshmallows with a simple chocolate glaze. Just like the ones from your childhood without all the garbage ingredients. So, I take that back not like ones from your childhood…SO MUCH BETTER!

Makes approximately 6 poptarts



Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In stand mixer combine flour, salt, sugar, and spices. Mix until evenly combined. Add in maple syrup, molasses, and chopped butter. Stir with a wooden spoon. Slowly work in the ice water, one Tbsp at a time and mix until dough is formed. Knead dough for a minute or two. Flatten into a disc and wrap in plastic and let relax in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Take the dough out and begin rolling it out into a rectangle shape on a floured surface. Cut dough into equal size squares. Take a square of dough and put a tsp of chocolate chips and 3 Dandies Mini Marshmallows in the center. Take another square of dough and make two little slits in the middle. Brush the edges with water and place on top of the square with the filling. Using a fork press down the edges to seal the pop tart. *Note* make sure the are completely sealed or the filling will leak out. Do this with the rest of the square. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.


Glaze Instructions

Whisk all ingredients together and drizzle over the pop tarts.
